Proficiency Scale:

PATIENT RIGHTS

Communicate and obtain information while respecting patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality of information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)

INTERDISCIPLINARY COMMUNICATION

Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines i.e.: status updates to family members.
