PATIENT RIGHTS

PRE – TRANSPORT

Pre-Transport Assessment
Review the pediatric's medical history and current condition
Assess and stabilize vital signs prior to transport
Evaluate and address potential risks
Preparation of Equipment and Supplies
Communicate with sending and receiving facilities for transport logistics
Brief the transport team on the pediatric’s condition, treatment plan, and potential complications
Confirm transport route and estimated time of arrival

DURING TRANSPORT

Continuously monitor the pediatric’s vital signs and condition
Manage the neonate’s airway and provide respiratory support
Maintain appropriate thermal regulation
Secure the child safely
Recognize and manage transport-related complications

POST – TRANSPORT

Provide a comprehensive handover to the receiving PICU team.
Participate in a debriefing session with the transport team.
Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and changes in condition.
