Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: 1050 Division Street Mauston WI 53948
Shift: FT second shift (11am-7:30pm or 1pm-9:30pm) weekend rotation as needed
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Pay Package (40 Hours/Week):
Total Weekly Gross: $1,500
Taxable Wages: $600
Non-Taxable Housing & Meal Stipends: $900
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Phlebotomist position draws blood from inpatient and outpatient settings so tests can be performed and doctors can make diagnoses.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Send out all pathology and cytology, bone marrow biopsies, and fine needle aspirates.
Review and input patients’ demographics for pathology. Review and print pathology reports and input histology charges as they come in.
Order tests and prepare them to standards.
Check lab orders to make sure orders are correct, confirm physicians on the orders, and make changes if any are needed.
Perform venipuncture blood draws, heel sticks, and finger pokes; verify patients’ information, do drug screens, do breathalyzers, and keep phlebotomist updated with changes and new protocols.
Perform other duties as requested.
