The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. The ideal candidate will have experience assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with cardiopulmonary disorders while working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Required Qualifications:
Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Current PALS Certification
Current NRP Certification
Proof of Negative TB Test completed within 12 months prior to contract start date
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed.
Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and oxygen delivery systems.
Perform respiratory assessments and document patient responses to treatment.
Assist with emergency airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments, equipment use, and disease management.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Adhere to all infection control, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.
