Surgical Technologist

Location: Morristown, VT
Schedule: Day Shift / Varied Schedule
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
On-Call Requirement: Yes

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgeon and circulating nurse throughout a variety of surgical cases.
• Ensure a safe, sterile, and organized operating room environment at all times.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation prior to surgery.
• Clean, restock, and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and organizational policies governing healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification (preferred or required based on facility requirements).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Previous operating room experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection prevention practices.
