Certified Nursing Assistant-LTC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this role, you will assist in implementing individualized resident care plans by providing support with activities of daily living, monitoring patient well-being, and collaborating with the nursing team to deliver exceptional care. You will work under the supervision of the RN/LPN team leader while maintaining resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and skin care.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and promptly report changes to the RN/LPN or Charge Nurse.
• Deliver care in accordance with individualized care plans and nursing department policies.
• Follow Universal Precautions and infection prevention protocols at all times.
• Protect resident rights and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Assist with orienting residents and families to the unit, facility, and available services.
• Provide compassionate support while demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and effective listening skills.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Respond appropriately to changing resident needs and contribute to problem-solving and care coordination.
• Perform additional resident care duties as delegated by the RN/LPN team leader.

Qualifications:

• Active Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required.
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and resident-centered care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to accurately monitor and document resident information.
• Flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Passion for serving long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients.
