Certified Nursing Assistant-LTC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, resident-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living and supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional care. You will play an essential role in promoting the comfort, dignity, safety, and well-being of residents while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and ambulation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and promptly report any changes to the RN/LPN or Charge Nurse.
- Provide skin care and other basic nursing support as directed.
- Assist with resident orientation and help ensure a comfortable transition into the facility.
- Support individualized care plans under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including Universal Precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate documentation and protect resident privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, empathy, and a team-oriented approach to patient care.
- Assist with additional resident care duties as assigned by the RN/LPN to ensure quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, resident-focused care.
- Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs and resident observations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident rights.
- Passion for working with long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while adapting to changing resident needs.
