Overview

Medical Laboratory Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and process patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Document and report test results while ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Utilize Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to manage patient and testing data.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Current MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) preferred.
• Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
